It could be the first Soviet movie here. For me, the Soviet Union is mostly associated with propaganda posters. Associated with that is the fact that I’m biased against Soviet cinema, and interestingly anything modern too. I find it disgusting that I’ll need to study someone’s irrelevant agenda, or stuff that passed multiple dull censorship committees.

Anyway, there are movies that I’d appreciate, even if I don’t know the name of the director. In this case, I’ve watched just because of the name. Still I’ve managed to come up with possible agenda and its realization.

Overall, the visuals that I appreciate seem rare. But it has those shots that are memorable. If the viewer does not constrain oneself to political interpretations, then overall it’s good food for thought.
